Our Story
From our home overlooking the water on the west side of the island, we watch Atlantic waves roll in, the Butt of Lewis lighthouse beam across the night sky, and on clear evenings the shimmer of the Northern Lights.
Where It Began
Atlantic Lights was born from a family passion for the Isle of Lewis. Its landscapes, coastlines, and ever-changing skies. The business was originally founded by Innes Harrison, who began hand-pouring candles inspired by the world on his doorstep, each one a reflection of the Hebridean home he loved.
In 2025, his son Daniel Harrison took over Atlantic Lights with a single mission: to build something that truly does justice to this remarkable part of the world.
Every candle, wax melt, and diffuser is handcrafted in Shawbost, using four signature scents developed specifically for this corner of Scotland. From the salt-tinged air of the coastline to the wild blooms of the machair, each fragrance is an attempt to bottle a little piece of the Outer Hebrides, and bring it into your home, wherever you are.
